Weekly disposable lenses

Facts about weekly disposable lenses

Weekly disposable lenses are meant to be worn for 1-2 weeks before being replaced. How you should use and handle your weekly lenses depends on your individual needs. Always follow the recommendations from your optician for proper use and handling of your contact lenses.

Usually it is recommended to use weekly disposable lenses 24 hours a day for a week or during daytime for two weeks. If you remove your weekly disposable lenses every night they need to be cleaned and kept in a lens case with lens solution and after two weeks of usage be replaced by new lenses. We recommend that you use Optifree Express NoRub from Alcon for your lenses. This lens solution cleans your lenses without having to rub them before placing them in the lens case.

Some monthly contact lenses can, after advice from your optician, be worn 24 hours a day for 1-2 weeks and will then also be known as "weekly disposable lenses". An example of a monthly contact lens that also can be used as a weekly disposable lens Is Air Optix Aqua.
